No pc display

Last night my girlfriend was playing on her pc with me and it randomly shut off several times and the last time it shut off she turned it back on but for some reason there's no display, I checked the wires everything is plugged in and running the pc turns on fine I even plugged her hdmi into my monitor but it still doesn't work does anyone know what may be the issue?
