I wanted to post about a Josei manga magazine that we haven’t gotten that many titles from, but which has some heavy hitters and great mangaka publishing in it. Cocohana was started by Shueisha in 1994 and used to be called Chorus but changed its name in 2012. It is published on the 28th of each month.

Notably, we have gotten only 5 titles licensed in English from it that I could find, despite the magazine publishing some major mangaka like Fumi Yoshinaga, Jun Mayuzuki, akiko hagashimura, Hinako Ashihara, aya nakahara, kozueko morimoto, setona mizushiro, moto hagio, kazune kawahara, and aruko have all published in this magazine.

The Cocohana/Chorus manga titles available in English (pictured on slides 1-5) are:

Pink Candy Kiss

Honey and Clover

Tamaki & Amane

Blank Canvas: my so-called artist’s journey

Selected short stories from the Jun Mayuzuki Sayonara Daisy anthology

Some other relevant English titles:

The Marmalade boy spin-off (unlicensed) - marmalade boy is available in English

The Polar Bear Cafe spin-off (unlicensed) - polar Bear cafe is available in English

(Slides 6-20 are covers of the magazine except slide 19 which is vol 1 of Moto Hagio’s La Reine Margot)
