1.5 ton AC suggestions for Delhi heat
I am looking for good performing AC for the delhi summer where it can sustain heavy loads in peak timeike continuous running and also tolerate voltage fluctuations.
I am planning to buy 2 AC one for the bedroom and one for the Hall(~165 sqft, living room area which needs cooling, the dining area is also there without partition but don't need the cooling much so going for 1.5 ton only)
Mitsubishi & O general is out of the question due to the cost factor.
My preference after searching for the AC and going through experiences in private forums
- Hitachi Sumo(yoshi 5700xxl)(https://amzn.in/d/4xctXyP)
This one for the Hall since it's amoung the most powerful in 1.5 ton AC we checked(5422 watt) and has the good throw. Coming with 5 year comprehensive warranty, 10 years compressor.

Panasonic or Hitachi Low powered version compared to above, since needed for room (hitachi~5000 watt and Panasonic ~ 5100 watt) Again can take either of them but inclining towards panasonic to experience that brand too and it'll help me out for future purchases on which brand to go towards in future.

LG- not quite preferable, Reason 1: Gives less wattage in 1.5 ton, like other say it's 1.5 ton is not really 1.5 ton. Reason 2: would be first to give up in Delhi summers on continuous use in heavy load Reason 3: Already using 2 hot and cold AC in my hometown and the cooling is not that quick compared to others.
Pros- Very good after sales service and service network.
- very good extended warranty plans and professional service vendors.
- Daikin
If it was 3 years ago, it would have been my first choice but not now. 2 reasons
Reason 1: Quality deteriorated after production moved to India, fewer quality checks
Reason 2: Service is moved to third party vendors and it has been a downfall since. Road side mechanic behaviour of installation and service vendors
- Carrier:
This one is keeping me skeptical, in great eastern retail showroom guy shows me a model 5* and having 100% load power output as 5230 watts(as per rating label).
Model- CAI20PL5R35WO
But not sure of it's service and performance in continuous running and peak load.
Extra query: Since these all are inverter AC and are capable to run in the voltage range of 130-290 volts do we really need a stabilizer?
