Does it get any easier?

Just started going on a calorie deficit again and it’s been a week. This time doing everything I can to stick to it. Last night was especially difficult. After dinner all I kept thinking about was food and munching on something. I was also working late from home and was possibly a bit stressed. I chewed a bunch of gum to try and distract my mouth with chewing on something. But while I was working I kept thinking of food. It took every willpower in me to not grab and snack and stuff myself with it.

Is this normal for others? I’m starting to acknowledge I may potentially have an eating/snacking problem. Will it get easier over time as I keep pushing through these moments? I just need some hope to keep going or advice on how others worked on this and stuck to their caloric deficit.

Thanks!
