Does God not care?
How can God allow someone to be born destined to suffer? With each passing day I lose even more my faith in this God that so many people say is good. It was not the result of the free will of a person who lives in a country at war that he was born, but rather the result of the free will of his parents, this person could not choose whether he would want to live in such a disgusting and cruel reality, he was simply forced to do so and could not even end his own life without being condemned to hell. My big question is:
God alone is enough, he doesn't need us humans for absolutely anything, he is the Owner of everything, truth, life, wisdom... so why, knowing that his beloved creation would be this pit of imperfection, causing wars and everything else that is bad on earth, did he do this? He knew of every suffering that innocent children would go through, of every illness that someone would face, of all the pain that someone is capable of feeling due to hunger, misery, inequality; and you can tell me what a good thing it is about free will, about people doing harm to their own equals and that He can't interfere and blah-blah-blah, but, you see, why didn't he just keep quiet and create us? I say again that our existence or non-existence wouldn't make any difference to him, so why let the children he says he loves so much suffer here in this horrible place? He knew everything that would happen and still decided to create us and throw us here in this horrible reality, which Father is this? There are those who justify that his love is so great that he wanted to share such glory, but that doesn't make sense. Humanity had no choice, I can only think that he is not that perfect and that he likes to play with our feelings and see us begging, it seems that our effort is of no use, in the end we are doomed to hell because no one is good enough for this god who does not move a finger, not even for an innocent child who suffers. I'm tired, nothing makes sense, I believe in God, but honestly I don't like him very much and I can't even feel anything for him. When I go to mass I don't feel anything, I've never been able to feel that connection that everyone says they feel and the more I study theology the more I move away. The more I pray, the more I feel an emptiness and coldness in my heart. I'm so tired and I can't do anything to change it. I think about dying every day and sometimes I even hope that God doesn't exist, because then I disappear forever and don't go to hell. Even if I don't kill myself and die of old age, I still believe that my final destination is hell no matter what I do, because at the end of it all, He is the one who makes the rules and seems to have fun with them. I really hope that he doesn't exist and that there is nothing after death and I can have real peace. None of this makes sense. If he really loved us, he wouldn't have created us. Free will is a lie.
