Never had Period until now, PCOS or Brain Tumor?
(I apologize for my English, since it is my second language.)
Since I didn't get my period until 16 (only brown secretion), I went to a gynecologist and was diagnosed with PCOS, but there were doubts about a high prolactin level. I took Provera for six months, and I had an extremely heavy period, soaking through pads within 30 minutes. Ultrasound indicated PCOS, but endometriosis was developed but not be elininated(?) by own.
I changed gynecologists to a University Medical Center a few years ago and have had regular blood tests. The doctor always says the same thing: maintain normal body weight. I have a normal body weight (I am 159 cm/49–53 kg), and I am taking birth control pills (Yaz). At first, I had no problems with Yaz, but vomiting and headaches caused me to take breaks every two weeks. The doctor recommended switching from Yaz to Qlaira, but nothing changed.
I have NEVER had a natural period. Every period has been induced by medication. Last week, I was also diagnosed with narcolepsy; my neurologist recommended a CT scan due to concerns about a brain tumor.
I wonder if anyone has similar symptoms to mine—never having had a period. Other PCOS patients have problems with irregular periods, but I have never had a period.
