Monitor Dilemma

I’m looking to get a new monitor. I’m currently using a Samsung odyssey g5. It’s 1440p 144hz. My rig is a 9800x3d and a 4080. I’m trying to decide between 1440p oled or 4K oled. I’m currently looking at the AW3225QF or XG27UCDMG for 4K options. As for 1440p I’m conflicted on waiting for the new 500hz panels or going with one of the 240hz gen 3 ones out currently for around $600. I play a mix of story games and shooters, tending to lean more heavily on shooters. I’m too conflicted to make a decision after hours of research so please help me out.
