Why is everyone complaining?

All I see are complaints about the new album, the set lists on tour, the energy at the concerts. Have we forgotten basic humanity?

Just try to keep in mind:

  1. Change is good! It’s redundant and boring to just keep making stereotypical folk albums. It’s fun to explore new sounds, and I personally love their new album.

  2. Two night shows should be expected to be similar. It’s just usually due to high demand so more people can see, it’s not a promise for 2 entirely new sets. Most people only attend one night and want to hear the hits too.

  3. Covers are a fun way to pay respect to the music that inspired them, and a little switch up from the norm. (Chicago got to hear a CCR & Empire of the Sun cover 10/10)

  4. MOST IMPORTANTLYYYYYY: They’re normal people just like us. They’re on tour for weeks/months at a time away from their friends, family, their home, their own bed, their own bathroom. They have off days too, they can get sick too, they may not sleep the best either. It’s mentally and physically draining to tour. So maybe there’s a few shows where the energy is off…it’s okay, they’re human too.
