Advice on saving money & budgeting (ADHD and neurodiverse)

For reference, I am 29 and work part time. My partner works full time, we have a young child and 3 pets. We earn collectively around 200k+ per financial year since I’ve been back at work.

We bought a house around a year ago, which obviously took a lot of our savings, we have had a lot things go wrong that required fixing in the house, pets almost die and basically just one thing after another that has fully drained our savings and put us in debt.

We’ve almost paid off 10k of debt in the past 4 months and have a bit to go. However, I also have raging ADHD and am currently unmedicated so I am struggling to not spend money I do not have. Alas I’ve fallen in the buy now pay later traps and I absolutely hate it. Sprinkle in my partners Austism and we love treating ourselves and spoiling our kid.

Now, we are due to have another baby in a couple of months time which means back on maternity leave and a big loss of income which stresses me out a lot as we now have a mortgage to pay for. We are lucky and we do not struggle to pay our bills, our debts and although groceries are disgustingly expensive and we’re always dipping into savings for it, we can afford to put food on the table. The thing we/I struggle with constantly my whole life (besides saving for a house) is budgeting for spending so I don’t get in the buy now pay later traps and saving so we stop having to get into debt for example when our dog almost dies.

I basically am at my wit ends with myself and I want any advice from maybe people who understand what financial issues are like with ADHD and how they overcame it, how they save and budget etc? I also am hoping for basically any of your best money saving tips, any book recommendations, podcasts, literally anything for me to get my shit together.

TIA!!!! Please help 😅😂
