garden/life parallel

i see a bit of a writing upgrade in the new season honestly! during the scene with Carrie’s landscaper (MEOOOOOOOOOW!!!) where he asks her what she envisions for the garden and she says she wants it back the way it was, i clearly saw a parallel to her life with big and her new single life. she wants some semblance of her old life. through the garden, through aidan…she loved her life/garden how it was and just wants something familiar, but as adam said, she had to find what she wants now. i predict she’s gonna want a full fresh start and realize that aidan was an attempt at comfort.
