Is this a safe dose?

I have a dentist appointment and got prescribed 1mg of Xanax to take before. I am short (5’1) but also very overweight (215 lbs) so I think it will be okay? But if anyone could give me some reassurance/advice that would be greatly appreciated. Also the dentist told me to take it on an empty stomach? Will that make the effects more intense? I have medication anxiety and I just am worried that I will become tooooo relaxed and then get all in my head and freak out.
