Did all the Prophets have Imams come after them?

If we need Imams to guide us after our Prophet pbuh, then wouldn’t other peoples have also needed Imams after their Prophets? If not, why not? Do we have any proof of this? Wouldn’t that mean there were Imams in the time period between Isa and Muhammad pbuh too? Who were they?
