The myth of closures

Discussion

We grow up believing that if we just try hard enough, stay long enough, things will work out. We’re taught that life should be a continuous journey toward perfection. So we chase. We hustle. But the truth begins to hit slowly: the pursuit of perfection is a moving target; one that robs you of your presence while promising peace it never delivers.

Closure, completion, perfection, these are myths we cling to in an imperfect world. Relationships don’t always end clean. Careers don’t follow linear paths. Even our own minds remain messy and unfinished no matter how much work we do. There will always be something left undone, some version of you that could’ve been more. But that’s not a flaw. Life isn’t a problem to solve, it’s an experience to live- messy, incomplete, and there's a beauty in incompletion.

You don’t need the perfect ending. You need the courage to live in the chaotic middle.
