Haha I thought I had a date

We went on one date no sex or anything, I was talking to him the night before and let him know I’ve got genital herpes, and he was super accepting and said he would never leave me over that and that we would just need to have sex when I’m not having an outbreak and stuff like that. He was super accepting and seemed like he wanted to comfort me and hug me over the phone. He texted me so much after I hung up that I’d wake up every couple hours and respond to him in the middle of the night lol, he was being so kind to me and saying he really liked me.

He tells me we have to change the date location so we talk about restaurants we could go to, and then at 2 pm sharp he just disappears after I asked him how he feels about the restaurant I think we should go to tomorrow. 10 pm now, we don’t even have a time to meet tomorrow. Tried calling him at 9 pm and he didn’t pick up. Waited a little and sent him a text at like 11, and just told him I understand if he doesn’t want to talk to me. And that was just it.

Not gonna lie, I don’t want to try dating anymore. This same exact thing happened with the guy I messaged before him and I basically got my time wasted. I’ve become very jaded to this process and I suppose I’ll have to accept that I am not a person who will date. I can take rejection, but what I can’t take is being accepted out of pity and slowly cut off and ghosted. It drives me completely insane. I’m sitting in my car listening to sad music writing this goofy post and my tether to life feels like it wanes more each time I’m dropped like a ball by someone who was so enamored by me.
