am I expecting too much? (28F) (30M)

i learned a year postpartum that my bf of 5 years had been cheating on me throughout the relationship, mainly pregnancy. we’ve been broken up for 2 years now.

the other day, I asked him if I didn’t find out about it, would he have ever told me. he said “do you think we’re in a disney movie?” he also said it doesn’t matter because he planned on stopping after our baby was born. he says he was ready to step into his role as a faithful partner and new dad.

is this not a little.. weird? or am I expecting too much? any questions or feedback is welcome.
