Making between 72k and 80k a year. Need advice on choosing a new place with my current situation.

Budgeting

27 year old here. I’ve about had it living at home. I value my peace more than taking the hit to my take home income. I’m looking for a place to move to. However, I need advice on what would be the best decision economically. Here is a brief overview of my situation:

I bring home just under $2,200. Currently have $30k in government loans (just finished private loans) and a 11k car loan. My loan payment hasn’t been finalized yet but it should be upwards of 200-300 a month. I pay $250 on the car loan payment. I also have a decent amount of savings money(over 10k)

I wanted to buy a house, but with how the market is, you need big money to reasonably afford a mortgage payment in a decent area. Even then, renting is expensive. A lot of places are starting out just under $1,500 near my job. This isn’t even adding in the other costs. This is in the Chicago suburban area.

Is it realistic for me to be able move out and live comfortably in a decent area? Should I just suck it up and suffer until the loans are done? I feel like the market is only going to get worse and I should just rip the bandaid off.
