Renting for someone like me

Hello!

At the moment I'm looking for a rental on my own.

I've got hardly any rental history. Only 2 years in a share house & 4 months in a unit on my own (never paid rent late, paid early etc)

My income is around $2,100 per fortnight. I work 5-6 days a week.

I'm looking so hard for affordable rentals on my own near work. But there's only 1 nearby that's $360 the rest are $400 and up in the areas I'm looking at.

With such little options to choose from. I'm thinking of applying for the more expensive places in hopes I just get something atleast.

My question is this: do I even have a chance at getting any of these properties that I'm applying for specifically the more expensive ones ($400 pw- $500 pw) would any landlord/property manager look at me on my own and give me a chance? What do you guys think? Any experience or advice lmk! Thankyou
