New to the game. Struggling with mortars.

I’m aware of the wind mechanic. I make adjustments using a calculator to account for it, and I’m still missing significantly wide sometime. Can wind change suddenly? Or am I just severely messing something up? I swear I’ll put in the same coordinates twice in a row and shots will end up in entirely different spots.
