Dull pain in joints (fingers, wrists, elbows) and tenderness in/on outside of arm

Once again, I'm forced awake by a weird pain in my joints, specifically my wrists.

Female, 30.

For the past few weeks (+/- 7), I've noticed that the joints(?) in my arms and hands are acting up. I sometimes can't sleep and just need to get up to move my arms and "shake it out." One of the things that generally seem to help is actually just getting up and going about my day. So, movement?

BOTH ARMS

  • Mild pain in finger joints (lasting, dull).
  • Wrist pain (lasting, dull, throbbing).
  • Elbow pain (lasting, dull, throbbing).

RIGHT ARM

  • Along the ulna (area, not deep to the bone), there's a slight burning sensation, as if I have carpetburn under my skin.
  • If something touches the area, it feels sensitive. Like open skin stinging, or, like that moment you put cooling gel with arnica on the body. The latter could just be because my hands were very cold. πŸ˜…
  • Arm in the air, fine. Arm resting on something, sensitive and burn.
  • Carpal area, where ulna meets the hand, there's a bit of a dull ache.
  • If I twist my hand/arm, like turning a doorknob, there's a bit of a sharper pain in the elbow. If I normally move that hinge joint, there's a slight-slight irritation ulnar side.
  • When I move the condyloid joint, with weight/force (like picking up a kettle or my cats), that's when I feel some pain in the area where the carpals and radius meet.

LEFT ARM

  • When I hinge the hinge, there's a dull shock in the elbow, ulnar side.

Now, I don't know if it's all related or if it's just a coincidence? About 3 days ago, I was writing a lot, so that could affect my right side. It doesn't account for some similar sorts of pain in the left side.

Things that may or may not be relevant:

  • No meds for over 5 months.
  • I am on supplements for my Vitamin D deficiency. Last two blood tests were good!
  • In the last two years, I've developed anaemia. Not sure why I have low iron. I've stopped donating blood, and I am taking supplements.
  • i have eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is thankfully very mild and completely under control. I've had about a month and a half of a bad dip with my psoriasis. However, that was more my face and scalp, and elbows. A few nights/days of Clobex, Advantan, and Dovobet, and my skin seems to have calmed down nicely. 🧴
  • 98% sure I can rule out gout.
  • I don't think it's bone, and I don't think it's nerves... it doesn't feel like how I've experienced that sort of pain. Muscle, ligament, tendons? Nothing makes me go, "that one!"
  • I have some sticky fingers, and I suspect one day I may need trigger finger surgery, but it's really not so bad now. It's very specific tasks and movements when that shows up. Sleeping is not one of them.
  • Mmm, oh, I do tend to sleep with little dinosaur arms. πŸ¦– I thought that that could be why my wrists were sore in the morning because I was overextending and overstressing those ligaments/muscles. I have been better at keeping my hands straight. If dino hands were the main cause of this sort of pain/distress, surely it should be getting better, not worse.
  • The weather is cooling down. I don't think the cold helps. I noticed that lately heat seems to help a little extra bit - hands to a heater, hot cup of tea, warm blanket. I'm wearing fingerless gloves (which I kidnapped from my mother) to offer some compression and warmth. It's these so-called arthritis gloves. I don't know if I believe in them working for arthritis, but everyone is different, so. There is no discolouration anywhere, no swelling that I can pick up... nothing... visual that indicates injury or damage.

About two weeks ago, it felt at its worse. All the above symptoms, 5Β½ hours of being up, and while in general things calmed down, they didn't disappear. The dull throbbing in the joints lingered. My arm was still sensitive and had a carpetburn sensation mid-arm to elbow and ulna side of the wrist. Picking up something on the heavy side while rotating still sometimes brought a dullish shock to the elbow.

What could this be, and how should I go about treating it (or at least looking after it so that it doesn't get worse)? πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€βš•οΈ

I'd appreciate your thoughts! 🌸
