Whirlpool Fridge icemaker/water dispenser problem

I have a Whirlpool w10806896 (about 7 years old)

I went out to the store for 15 minutes and when I came back there was ice all over the floor and the icemaker was making a humming sound (like its trying to push out ice). I opened the fridge door and closed it and it stopped.

I pressed the ice button and nothing came out. I pressed the water dispenser and water came out as normal. I removed the icemaker and found it was now empty. I also cleaned out the jammed dispenser tube on the door.

I put the icemaker back in and it seemed to be fine. But now water does NOT dispense. It makes a beep when I press the button. I double checked, and the ice maker is properly seated.

The control panel is lit up, but it does not allow me to do anything like activate lock or turn off ice maker. It beeps whenever I press anything, but will not do its function.

I haven't looked at the back of fridge yet as its quite hard to get it from its enclosed area and I am pretty sure its a problem with the computer up front.

Any suggestions on what to trouble shoot. We did recently have a 24 hour power outage.
