People who moved abroad, what happens to your Pet in SG?
Planning to move abroad for my career (at least 2-3 years kind) but i have a pet of over 15 years (given to me after my brother “abandoned” it) and if i move abroad i may miss his last few years/miss his death? If he pass while im overseas. The life expectancy for his species can range from 20-40 years so its not feasible to wait for it to happen (die) then move (he is not a dog/cat).
Whenever im overseas my family takes care of it (once i was overseas for over half a year as well) so they can take care of him the same. Except i may miss the years he has left if he do pass within the next few years. & my mom said he seemed scared of them when i was not around and only when i came back he started to be super active again and runs around the house the whole day, while he rarely moves when i was away (even tho he turned out okay after half a year when i was back) so i think emotionally he does get sad over my absence
im not sure if its stupid to “stay” in sg just for a pet. And give up my dream to live abroad while im young
For those who chose to move abroad and leave ur pet with ur family, how did it go? What happened to them after that? Do you regret your decision?
