Lacrima at the beginning was nothing more than an abused woman who has little to no self-esteem in herself and a distorted view on love.

She believes that she needs to have something to offer whether it is her power, body or wealth.

Her growth throughout this arc is to re-learn what genuine love is like in so many, many ways.

As a fellow young woman, Titi represents sisterhood, something that she seeks from Zira, but couldn't have.

As a young child who looks up to her, Diana teaches Lacrima how to act as an older sister, she is someone who Lacrima wants to protect.

As her paternal half-brother, Lukas becomes the older brother Arkos couldn't be, they banter and argue but ultimately have each other's back.

As her chosen potential partner, Julian shows her how a romantic partner should be, someone who treats you as an equal. He trusts her strength and character enough to leave his family in her hands.

Once she learned how to love, she unlocked or tried a new aspect of her power. In the past, she never uses her gift for anything else, but her own protection. Now, she can use it to help people like Titi.

Arkos manipulates blood to kill, Lacrima controls blood to save. It's funny that now Altus couldn't manipulate liquid within other people, but Lacrima can, in a way, she's finally surpassed her brother by protecting people.

Ultimately, Lacrima may lose to Altus, but her courage to stand up to someone who represents everything wrong with her past life for a little to no material gains is more than enough prove that she finally completed her transformation from a tool, a stain of the royal family into a proper human being.

Lacrima's growth throughout this arc is one of the best written aspects of this series
