I don't know if you can call it car camping, but a couple years ago I booked one night at an RV park and slept inside my minivan with my three dogs, just to break up the long drive. Nothing other than my mattress was set up so I guess it wasn't really camping, more like just sleeping overnight.

I'm getting ready for a big one, though. This was my original 7-8 nights plan days leading up to Labor Day (which also happens to be my birthday week): NJ (home), WV (visit friend), Charlotte (visit boyfriend, dinner with cousins), Atlanta (meet up with co-workers), Savannah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, Chincoteague Island, NJ. But since it's my first time to actually go car camping, I figure I should maybe do a practice run first.

Still thinking of where I can go for a night or two. In the meantime, I've been getting my stuff ready. Been watching nothing but YouTube videos for about a week now. Also been "packing." I have a lot of what I need already from things just lying around the house 9e.g. lighter, fire starter, kitchen knives, bug spray, etc.). A lot more on the way from Amazon, Temu, Ali Express, Walmart, Target, etc. I'm trying not to overdo the shopping.

Here's a video I made today: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_VHv41oQrMo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VHv41oQrMo)
