Master of Legal Studies vs Juris Doctorate
I have been accepted to Law School for a Master's of Legal Studies. And I also started studying for the LSAT based on what others have recommended and their experience with the MLS. Should I accept the offer to attend the MLS program while I study for the LSAT? A JD may still not be quite within my reach as I've seen some people say they've been studying for three years! The MLS credits will not transfer to a JD program, however, I still believe it would give me a head start on learning the fundamentals. I also wonder if that would reflect poorly if I start the MLS and don't complete it due to starting JD program (if it's less than 3 years). I would consider completing MLS, with focus on Dispute Resolution once I'm done with JD just to follow-through on the program. This would be my second Master's program, my bachelor's degree is in PR, and master's degree in Strategic Communication.
