ASUS PD Firmware update tool not installing and blocking usb-c ports

The Asus pd firmware update tool is not installing on my laptop despite doing what it has said, and now I can't use the USB-C ports now. Is there anyway to get it to actually install and allow me to use my usb-c ports again and have people being experiencing the same issues?
