My cat is only attached to me and doesn’t come out.

My ginger cat age 2 years old was rescued two years ago. She got attached to me since i never picked her up - however she doesn’t come out in front of my flatmates and tends to avoid the living room. I want to change this and make her more comfortable around others also but I know I cannot force her.

Because right now she spends most of the time in my room only and then goes under the bed if they enter. She won’t come out from under the bed if there are guests in the room.
