Did my little turd bird just manipulate me???

Earlier today my little guy Woody got spooked and smacked his wing against a shelf. It’s definitely not broken or badly injured, just seems a little sore. As soon as it happened I picked him up and hit him with the “OH BABY ARE YOU OKAYYYYYY?” lol

Well, later on I left him on my bed for 5 minutes while I went outside, and he was just fine. I come back and he’s on the floor running around, wing drooping really bad, so of course I again say “WTF WHAT HAPPENED?” and he runs up to me and immediately tucks the wing back in place. He’s acting fine, stretching it and preening it.

Did he really learn from that one interaction that if he’s hurt or appears hurt he gets extra attention? I do consider him a very smart guy as he’s able to pick up new songs over night.
