Worried about rating due to injections
Just like every veteran/ active duty I've had a bad lower back problems for years due to an injury while on duty. Pain gets so severe that there have been times i am not able to get out of bed due to pain and have to sleep on a recliner just so im not in such pain when waking up. Not until about 3 years ago I started receiving cortisone injections on spine that help with managing pain level. I am paranoid of losing my VA rating for spinal Injury because I am able to be more mobile with less pain for some time. .This treatment last me about 6 to 7 months before I start feeling my pain level increase. I've been told I should only be getting the injections once a year due to my age. (Mid 30s)
I have fear that there is somebody out there looking for veterans who claim injuries that are fake and will report me due to me being able to somewhat do things I could not do if it were not for the Injections. I've left my job due to the physical demand and constate strain on my back. I don't want to say im scared but I am concerned of finding a new job that requires some physical work such as standing for long period of time or lifting a small amount of weight. Wich I would be able to do for a limited time because the steroids are working and allow me to not be in such pain.
Thanks for any input on this or any other vets going through the same thing.
