Is Sapienza’s BSc in Economics and Finance (English) highly competitive? Need realistic advice.

Domanda Generica

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the BSc in Economics and Finance (English-taught) at Sapienza University of Rome for the 2025 intake. I just want a realistic idea of how competitive this program is.

My profile:

  • High school GPA: 95.1% (Indian Board – TS Intermediate)
  • TOLC-E (English version): I’m consistently scoring 34–36/36 in mock tests.
  • English level: Near-native (IELTS ~8 band equivalent).
  • Motivation Letter: I’ve clearly explained my long-term goals → UN jobs, international finance, policy work.
  • Extra skills: Self-taught coding in Python and data analysis (planning to use in finance/analytics fields).

I’m not applying for Bocconi, just focusing on Sapienza, since I’m more interested in Rome (UN agencies, international city, cost of living, lifestyle).

→ Realistically, with this kind of profile, is this program very competitive, or am I just overthinking it?
→ Would love to hear from anyone who’s applied, studying there, or knows recent applicants.

Thanks in advance!
