Boston to MetLife Stadium suggestions/tips?

So I've decided on a whim to head down to MetLife stadium for the Club World Cup for a match at 9 tonight (6/23). Although I'm fairly familiar with going to NYC, I've never been to MetLife stadium. I'm considering either taking a bus down to NYC and then transferring to a bus/train to get to the stadium, or just driving down and parking at the Secaucus/Bergen Park stations and taking the train from there. I'm hoping that perhaps others have experience with this going there for Pats games, concerts, etc.

Any and all suggestions would be most welcome.
