Uncomfy :( (also, swelling)

At my appointment on Friday, I had my drains removed (they were putting out less than 10ml and the threshold was 30 lol)- and the nurse said my incision and swelling and everything looked great while we were there- but to keep an eye out for swelling this coming week. Well. Here's were I run into self-gaslighting. I can tell that the pain that I was complaining about before drain removal (left side, near incision) has mostly alleviated, but now I'm having pain on the right side, and I can tell that the binder is less loose than it was before. But like... How much swelling is "too much"? It's not like huge but I can tell there's a difference and it's causing some pain... What if I complain about swelling and the answer is just that I'm eating too much salt? 🤦

They did explicitly ask me to send them a message on Monday with an update on the pain we talked about on Friday, so I will be talking with them, but I'm bummed. They seemed so hopeful that I would actually be weaning off of the Tylenol already and instead I'm still struggling 😩 (I'm also aware I'm only 10 days out, and pain and sleep deprivation makes emotions feel bigger- imma sleep and hope tomorrow feels better) 💜
