Weird question received from care rep.

I’m doing the iOS 26 beta. I swapped my sim to a different phone after my iPhone 15 pro bugged out. I called to activate the ESIM again & it was all good, but he asked my Lock Screen passcode. Is there any use for this or whaaaat?
