Bout to reach hotm 7 and get started on powder grinding in order to eventually work towards hypermaxing mining.

When I reach hotm 7 what steps should I take to make powder grinding easiest. I see people suggesting gemstone drills online and mightily drills but is that just cause a 655 is so expensive. What is the correct order of priority.
