BMW 1300GSA VS CVO Road Glide. (For US Continental Road Trips)
- Overall I’m super torn, I won’t go wrong with either, but I’d love to hear your lives, your stories, and your trips to help me decide and think this one out. *
I know this is quite the difference between both bikes, but that’s why I’m here. I’d love to know YOUR experience with either bike. Any 1200-1250gs/GSA owners & Road Glide/Street Glide owners help!
1300GSA: I really want to travel the US and to Alaska and back (From Los Angeles Area) I want to get outdoors and find some incredible spots. I love camping and would love to ride some off road trails too. I don’t know anyone who rides off road, so most trips would be solo and I wouldn’t go crazy off road or be unsafe, so it would be dirt roads only and nearby campsite camping.
Road Glide: I LOVE the comfort and ride of these things. I totally can see myself riding all lower 48 over the next few years. I’d be giving up going off road and to Alaska, so that would be a bummer, but I think riding further distances in general would be a lot easier in this than the BMW. It would be camp sites only, but primarily hotels when I did road trips. I think I’d ride more in the long run, and it would be easier to find groups to ride with than the GS.
