SDK 53 upgrade

The sdk version on the platform is not compatible with the version on my mobile device. The platform (bolt.new) uses sdk 52 while my phone uses sdk 53. I tried to install or upgrade in the terminal. I’ve tried: npx expo install expo@latest, or npx expo install expo@^53.0.0. Although it said the upgrade is successful the device is still not compatible with the platform, it still says the platform runs on 52 not 53. Sounds familiar to anyone?
