Why isn't the show about relationships anymore?

Every episode has each character getting into totally disconnected trivial situations with no point and nothing at stake? Carrie and Seema driving over clearly visible tire spikes; Miranda's slip-up meme moment; Harry's dad's sex life; Charlotte trying to get her kid a college admissions counselor; LTW talking in her sleep.

There was such a fandom for these characters and so much material to cover for a show about 50-something women in NYC. Ideas: Charlotte or LTW could be dealing with insecurities about aging and their husband's attraction or fidelity. Charlotte shown struggling to get back into her career after being a stay at home mom for over a decade. Carrie and Seema could be navigating online and irl dating, Carrie trying to figure out online dating or struggling to get back into dating as a widow. Dealing with catfishing or unavailable men etc. Idk what to suggest about Miranda because she's completely unrecognizable to me as a character.

Why did they ditch the whole point of the original show - women's friendships and relationships in NYC - and replace it with unrelated one-off silly non-adventures? The stories could write themselves, I truly don't get it.

And why is Carrie no longer into fashion or shopping at all?! We never see her talking about it or even shopping for shoes.
