AITAH for a comment I made when my boyfriend was drunk.

I (23f) have a boyfriend (24m) who I have been with for 4 years now. He is a bit of a partier. Casual drinker, weed and the likes. I am not, I hate drinking and weed gives me panic attacks.

I have a phobia of throwing up. It’s bad, which I fully recognize is a me problem, however when my boyfriend drinks too much, he tends to throw up.

This weekend his sister (22f) came to visit us. We live about 12 hours away, so he doesn’t get to see her very often. They are both complete extroverts, I on the other hand and a firm introvert who hates a party.

Onto the incident. I was coming out of the bedroom to grab some water and they are in the living room drunk to all hell. Like 12 beers in, maybe some shots, weed and mushrooms were also apparently mixed in there aswell. I immediately got anxious and I told them to not throw up and to maybe have some water and also said how uncomfortable I was with this. Mainly with the quantity they were drinking and smoking, I said how they were reaching a dangerous limit.

The vibe immediately changes, they get defensive and say how I’m over reacting everything. I leave and it apparently brought the whole mood down for them the rest of the night. My boyfriend had a panic attack from my comment and had to be talked down.

Today is the next day and his sister wouldn’t even speak to me. My boyfriend dropped her off at the airport and then immediately said how bad I messed up last night with my comments. It threw her off for the rest of the night and thinks I’m too uptight.

All day my boyfriend and his sister have been texting back and forth from what I can see to be long paragraphs. I asked about it and he said he couldn’t tell me cause he wants to protect his sisters feelings, but all he could say was that she really didn’t like how I treated them last night.

I already have a pretty rocky relationship with his sister and family, they are the complete opposite of who I am and it’s hard to find something in common with them. My boyfriend is saying I was uncalled for and ruined the night for them Am I the Asshole?

TL;DR: I made a comment to my boyfriend and his sister while they were drunk about how much they were drinking and it ruined the whole trip.
