Eraserhead..

Posting this here cause I don’t have a good enough karma to post in r/davidlynch . But sorta a hot take.. maybe. But I watched Eraserhead today, and I have to admit it’s probably to worst lynch movie I’ve seen thus far. Have yet to see Dune, and Wild at Heart.

Not that I’d didn’t understand the themes presented, having a lot of symbolism and anxiety of having a kid and etc. but the movie was just not my vibe, I love his other stuff, and I was sorta putting this off for a while, something about the movie just turns me off, I’m not that big a fan of body horror, my favorite maybe being the thing, or scanners. So definitely how gross the movie is and sorta makes you feel. But idk, it was just so slow, and dare i say boring. Again, I’m a huge fan of twin peaks, literally visiting North Bend this week and taking a tour of the spots. I’d honestly say Inland Empire might be favorite of his, so I’m not turned off by the lynchian stuff, but just something about Eraserhead felt verrry underwhelming. But maybe I’m an idiot;)
