I recently moved home from college and for whatever reason now when I play certain games my fans go into overdrive and it is insanely loud. I don't know if it's just the change in scenery that's messing with my pc but it's never happened before in my many years of owning and using it. I will admit, I have an older pc, most parts are outdated by many generations, but it's never been an issue running any games besides a little lag here and there.

I've tried everything I can to try and fix the issue, going into different control softwares to see if temperatures are too high and they really aren't, so I don't know why my fans go into overdrive every time I want to play a game.

I've gone into the BIOS to try and mess with fan speeds but I can't even replicate the speed and sound they produce when a game is opened.

As shown in the video, when I open a game, the fans almost immediately max out. A few seconds later, they push beyond the max, somehow? From then on it will switch in and out of the max fan speed and the overdrive fan speed and I cannot for the life of me figure out why.

Does anyone know of a solution? I can drop my pc build if that helps.

Thanks!
