Am I overreacting? I'm feeling hurt, should I say something?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦family/in-laws

I had a situation happen today that I need some grandma advice on. I don't know why but I am very sad over this situation. I was a horrible alcoholic for many years, and because of that I was absent ALOT and had limited time in person with my grandkids (now 4 and 7). I believe we've always had a great relationship despite this.
I've been sober for over 7 months, had a liver transplant which saved my life, and I will be added to the waiting list for a new kidney very soon. I've fought very hard to live and to continue to live.
The joy of being able to see my grandkids every weekend is unbelievable! Being happiness at able to be there at my oldest ones school program and her birthday party this year made my cry happy tears the whole hour long ride home. Well, now the situation that is hurting my heart today. I asked last night if my husband and I could go up to see them early so I could go to a small ceremony my granddaughter was taking part in. I was told no, her mom said no other grandparents would be there. Well, this afternoon while we were visiting my granddaughter let slip that her other grandma had been there. My daughter-in-law I'm sure knew ahead of time because she spent all of yesterday with her mom. I am already super jealous of the other grandma because she is the one with the pool, plenty of time and money to give gifts all of the time, and was able to watch the kids several days a week for them during the daycare years. I know I deserved no or low contact for a long time, but I guess I'm hurt that I'm still treated differently. I'm also upset because I think my granddaughter is being told to not mention things to me. Would I be wrong if I asked to talk to them about today? Should I just stay quiet and hope things will change as I prove myself for longer?
