am i being too petty?

so basically me(15f) and this guy(15m) are really good friends. we confide in eachother and text constantly. so basically almost a month ago, i just texted him to ask whether he'll help me talk to my crush cus they are friends and he's always trying to get me to talk to him but i always refuse and i made up mind that i wanna talk to him so i casually message him. he responds with a 'no' and im like ok rude but hes in a bad mood so im like ok fine dont. and before this also he did some mildly bitchy stuff which i will not get into. but i felt petty and pissed so later i texted him 'whats up with you?' and he said nothing and i texted back that 'you're having mood swings like you're on your period' because hes like the hot or cold type. and he replies 'fuck off' and 'dont talk to me' and i was like 'ok dont talk to me either'. and since then i have been ignoring him. he tried getting my attention in school but i ignored him again. and now it is the summer break and he texted me a completely random thing like 16 days ago and i have been ignoring him since. i expect an apology because i have let him talk to me like this on numerous occasions and cannot handle his tantrums anymore. is that too petty? do i expect too much? help what shud i doooo
