Just bought a Kimchi Blue romper from Urban Outfitters - here's my honest review

I've been eyeing the Kimchi Blue collection at Urban Outfitters for months and finally pulled the trigger on one of their rompers. After wearing it a few times, thought I'd share my experience for anyone else considering it.

The Good:

  • The designs are really cute and feminine with nice details like eyelet lace, ruffles, and bow accents
  • Quality of the fabric feels decent for the price point
  • Romantic, whimsical style that photographs well
  • Cotton material is breathable and comfortable once you get the right size
  • The square neckline and puff sleeve styles are trendy and flattering

The Not So Good:

  • Sizing runs small across the board - I'm talking seriously small
  • I usually wear a medium but had to size up to large, and it still felt snug in some areas
  • Length can be an issue - the rompers are quite short and might feel uncomfortable if you're not used to mini lengths
  • The chest area tends to run tight, especially if you have a larger bust
  • Some styles have high necklines that can feel restrictive
  • Arms can feel tight in certain styles

Size Issues I Noticed:

  • Even Urban Outfitters employees mentioned they have to size up in Kimchi Blue
  • Multiple people online complaining about having to exchange for larger sizes
  • The size chart seems off compared to other UO brands
  • If you're between sizes, definitely go with the larger one

What I Wish I Knew Before Buying:

  • Order at least one size up from your normal size
  • Check the length measurements carefully if you're shorter or taller than average
  • Read reviews for the specific style you want since fit varies between designs
  • Consider your bust size when choosing - the tops can be quite fitted

Would I Buy Again? Honestly, yes, but only if I really love the design and am willing to deal with the sizing challenges. The aesthetic is exactly what I was looking for, but the fit issues are real and annoying.

Bottom Line: The rompers are cute and well-made, but prepare for sizing headaches. If you can handle ordering a size up and potentially dealing with returns, they're worth it for the style factor.
