Gaming laptop lags then display breaks.

I've had this gaming laptop for around 2 years, never had a problem until now. Recently on r6 x mainly my game would stutter and lag especially if alot was happening then one day my whole screen goes black after lagging and stuttering for a while. Today it happened again, I would lag and stutter for around 15 minutes, screen goes black then display goes to my laptop as it's connected via HDMI, but it only flickers back on the off, then blue screens. I'm not quite sure what to do. I think it's a gpu issue but have limited knowledge.
