I gave someone a chance but his effort didn’t match mine.

I haven’t talked to anyone in such long time and honestly, I’ve been really happy that way. But this one guy kept reaching out, saying he felt a connection with me. At first, I brushed it off, but eventually I gave him a chance.

He seemed like a good guy educated, respectful, from a solid background. And from the moment we started talking, the vibe was just there. He was sweet, easy to talk to, and he knew I was a busy girl. I’m the curaad of my household, I go to school full time, I work in healthcare so my day is pretty full but I told him multiple time i don’t like to waste my time or anyone’s But even with all that, I never not answered him.

What I didn’t like is he’d only ever call me late at night. Like midnight or later. (We have About 2 hour time difference ) Never during the day. No check ins, no “how’s your day?”just those late night convos. And while they were normal respectful, but it confused me a lot . I’m not too busy to care about someone, and it started to feel one sided.

So I gave him space, thinking maybe he didn’t want to come off clingy or maybe that’s just how he communicates. But eventually it was starting to drive me crazy so I just quietly ghosted and didn’t say anything.

Now I’m sitting here wondering did I walk away too soon? Or was I right for wanting a little more consistency from someone who said they felt a connection
