Moving to Lakeview East

Getting ready to move to Chicago from Maryland into Angelus Apartments in Lakeview and I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas about the place or other places like it in the area.

Two things that I am worrying about are flood risk and waterbugs. I'm on the first floor but it is not a garden apartment, if I under stand that term correctly, and is entirely above ground. Flood risk I'm not too worried about as I'll just buy insurance but it would be nice to know what sort of risk there is and if I need to be sure to pick anything important off of the floor if the rain gets too bad. Water bugs are a whole other story, I'm not Rico and I do want to live forever.
