EQE Key Fob Stolen - Suggestions For Replacement?

On Friday, my key fob AND my wallet were stolen. So aside from the obvious inconveniences, someone out there has my car key and ALSO knows where I live. Parking is tandem in my condo building so I've just been blocking my car with my husband's.

I'm currently using my spare fob. So obviously I guess I have to call MB to have the stolen fob deprogrammed? Anyone know how that works? And obviously purchase a replacement at I believe a cost of about $1,300?

My main question here really is, anyone know of any hacks or solutions to get one for cheaper?
