First time in a house game. Was I chasing?

Hey just got invited to my first house game from a buddy that runs them and wanted to just simply ask if I was chasing or not. I buy in for $100 and about 3 hands in and I flop a flush with J and 6 in hand I bet and get a all in to followed by me calling, and end up losing to the ace high flush.

The guy proceeded to take all of his chips and cashes out immediately. I'm just sitting there cooling down from losing the big hand. The other people at the table are giving good vibes and I would like to continue playing.

I end up buying back in for 100 and end up just taking home 30 (down 170 total) after being there for 3 hrs. I had fun chatting with the table had some snacks and overall enjoyed myself.

Was that chasing for going back in or what would it be considered? (yes I would like to have won my money back however I also felt like I didn't want to leave after only being there for less than 30 mins)
