What are people's thoughts on the Ultima ports? I never played them on PC, so Ultima VI was my first exposure to the series. I thought this particular game was just OK. There really isn't a lot of fighting in the game and more of just a HUGE fetch quest. Throughout my playthrough, I only leveled up twice. And that was because I never got to the needed 1800 xp needed to get to the next level. I just rarely ran into mobs. Is this normal?

Overall, I didn't hate the game. Matter of fact, after retrieving about 5 moonstones, I was really enjoying myself. But once I started to have to advance in the Gargoyle World, I was ready for the adventure to be over. Looking for the balloon materials really annoyed me and I was ready to be done 😂

If you do decide to try this out, I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest playing with the manual and finding a map online/making one yourself. So many good tidbits in the manual to make it easier for you. I roamed around for almost 2 hours completely clueless (barely even made it out of town) before looking up a manual online. It's over 40 pages and packed full of really useful knowledge!

Also, learn to use the moon orb! I was about 5 hours into the game before learning how to use it. It'll save you HOURS of roaming around!
