S5E29 Run, Run, Run Away Dance Theory

I have absolutely no evidence for any of this and idk if it’s ever been questioned before but I have a theory that the Run, Run, Run Away music, theme of the dance and collaboration with the Gay Man’s Choir of LA was intended for the ALDC but some of the moms wouldn’t do it because of the subject matter and so they gave it to Jeannette’s team. Obviously there was a lot that went into that collaboration with a lot of moving pieces to get all those guests in the studio at the right time to film all the behind the scenes stuff so production wouldn’t want to just scrap the number. I’m thinking specifically Kira would have a problem with the dance and would pull Kalani which is ironic because Kalani didn’t end up dancing anyways. But, what if the whole solo crap the week before was staged to give Kalani an excuse not to be in the trans dance before they decided to switch it to Jeanette’s team because maybe another mom also started to throw a fit when they realized Kira was successful in getting out of it? Idk lol. It’s all a bit convoluted but I guess overall if felt like a lot of work on the part of production to set that collab up for the “rival” team instead of ALDC.
