I learned to use my introversion to my advantage
Like every introvert, I've always had an easy time with subjects that involve reasoning and analyzing patterns. Areas like mathematics, philosophy and technology have always been easier for me. But at the same time, I was always very shy and chose to pursue a career in IT.
Recently I started to miss social interaction. At the age of 20, I decided it was time to really try to socialize. And that's when I discovered something that changed everything: the same analysis and pattern skills that I have always used in studying also work in social. It's actually much easier than I imagined.
I put this into practice once and was able to make friends with a girl effortlessly. I used perception, timing, reading signs… Skills I've always had, but had never used in this way.
So my advice is: If you are an introvert, you do have the tools to connect socially, perhaps even better than many extroverts. You just have to try. And most importantly: ignore the voice in your mind that stops you.
